SESSION

Top 10 Considerations when Integrating GIS and ERP
Track: GIS Data Integration
Jaime Crawford, Critigen, Vice President of Geospatial Systems Integration

GIS is no longer a departmental solution for mapping an organization’s assets and holdings. It has grown to support a variety of business functions including asset management, environmental compliance, land management, emergency response, marketing, and customer relations, to name a few. With the convergence of GIS and ERP, integration is no longer an option but a necessity for improving compliance, reducing complexity and increasing business value. This presentation discusses the top 10 considerations when integrating GIS and ERP and include things like data asset lifecycle, map UI options (desktop, mobile, etc…), infrastructure and software requirements, and organizational readiness.
