Susan Lubell is the author of the recently published Root Cause Analysis Made Simple – Driving Bottom Line Improvements by Preventing One Failure at a Time, and National VP for the Plant Engineering Maintenance Association of Canada (PEMAC). She specializes in operational excellence with a strong focus on asset management & reliability strategy, cost effective lean maintenance programs, and continuous improvement. Root Cause Analysis (RCA) provides a structured approach to evaluate and prevent equipment failures and production loss. It enables safer workplaces by reducing the number of unexpected failures while improving business performance by increasing facility throughput and reducing the $ spent on repairs – straight to the bottom line. This presentation will introduce the who, what, where, when, why and how of root cause analysis and tips for implementing a successful data-driven program.
